Inaugural Lecture of the CAED Construction Management Talk Series

Jeff Loyall is a Vice President for Turner Construction Company where he has responsibility for managing healthcare projects in the Cleveland Business Unit. Under Jeff's direction, Turner has successfully completed numerous progressive healthcare projects. His most recent accomplishment is the successful completion of the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion project, located in the Health Education Campus of Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic.  The glassy, light-filled, four-story building designed by Foster + Partners houses the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. Earlier this year, this 477,000 square foot pavilion was temporarily transformed into the Hope Hospital, established to care for a potential surge of up to 1,000 patients in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Thankfully, due to successful COVID-19 curve-flattening measures, the space was returned to its former state as an educational campus over the summer. Most recently, the Health Education Campus underwent yet another transformation as it took center stage as the host site of the first U.S. presidential debate on September 29th, 2020.

 Throughout his successful 34 year career, Jeff has had primary responsibilities for profit and loss, business development, pre-construction, estimating, operations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and building information modeling. Jeff's career has been built around comprehensive construction services and an extensive background in all phases of Construction Management.

 In addition to his technical background and experience, Jeff's leadership skills combined with his unique ability to develop strong team relationships have proven extremely successful. His proven level of commitment to his clients is shown with his "hands on" involvement and ability to provide solutions during all project phases while leveraging the resources and experience that he brings to ensure a successful project experience.
